There’s a refreshing buzz around IRCE 2019 this year. The new show format adds two other retail events, GlobalShop (design sessions) and RFID Journal LIVE! Retail. Expect to see nearly double the attendees at IRCE 2018, totaling 20k. Don’t leave and check Salesforce, we’ll explain what this triple show means in a sec.
IRCE has been the go-to annual ecommerce event for years, and now comes one week after Shopify Unite. It’s a marker for merchants who leave the show and go heads-down prepping for holiday, maybe after a quick vacay.
This year in Chicago, two other events join IRCE creating IRCE @ RetailX—GlobalShop and Retail TouchPoints LIVE! You’ll have separate identities of three conferences under one roof. We’re eyeing up the Retail TouchPoints LIVE! @ RetailX, built from the ground up by Retail TouchPoints. Now you’ve got two retail trade publications joining forces with Internet Retailer’s editorial team, who will moderate sessions and introduce speakers.
If you know about IRCE you may not know of GlobalShop, which has been around for 27 years. It has been the world’s largest annual event for retail design, in-store marketing and merchandising.
Retail TouchPoints LIVE! promises to address the convergence of physical and digital shopping experiences. This makes sense since the trade publication’s audience is retailers operating physical and digital stores. These conference sessions are only on June 25 and 26, 2019.
IRCE Tip: there’s historically nothing yum to eat except grab-and-go salads, wraps, wings or parfaits at the Hyatt next door. Fill up before or after your shuttle/cab/Uber/Lyft ride, or just sip java and talk everyone’s head off.
